About
Baporiyu is a print magazine, a companion for lazy afternoons. From stories and poems to photo essays and illustrations, enjoy fables of home cooking and regional cuisines without the interference of technology.

Baporiyu, an in-house publication of Bay101 Film Studio, was born out of the lack of home cooked food related conversations around me. I remember eating way more home cooked food even five years ago, as compared to the deliveries that come home today. Even if you're someone who doesn't like to cook, I'm sure you have fond memories of eating home style sambar-rice, or stepping out on a rainy evening to grab a steaming cob of corn, right off the coal; or even buying cheap candies from the grocery store that coloured your tongue all those years ago.

Apart from happy stories of home cooking, this magazine explores the satisfaction and wonder of finding local food in the streets around you, and making such small acts of fun count in your life. Dear reader, dive into these fables of food on a cozy winter afternoon, and before you know it, 3 cups of chai will be finished.
